Dublin Trip Through Pictures Part 1

I didn't realised the number of pictures taken until I uploaded them into my computer. There's just so many and half of them are still with ML.

When ML and I reached Dublin, we didn't realise that it was St. Patrick's Day. The streets were full of people dressed in green hats, green clothes, and there was a street parade going on on O'Connell. There were some interesting costumes as well:
As both of us were really hungry at that time, including the fact that we miss Malaysian food, we ended up at this restaurant:
Imagine coming all the way to Dublin just to eat Penang food! I ordered Nyonya chicken and ML ordered beef rendang. The food wasn't that' great but delicious enough to satisfy our craving for Malaysian food.

We were more occupied in our food and by the time we finishes, the parade was over as well. The streets were really packed with people but to me, the parade was not that interesting. The best parade which I've been to was the one in Paris Disneyland. That was superb.

It was weird seeing people just sitting on the road side eating. But that was a common sight:
While waiting for S, we went into the nearest gift shop to survey the souvenirs first. Tried on some of the funny looking hats:

Finally, S appeared! We haven't seen her for ages. Since college for ML and since the summer before coming to the UK for me. Miss her so much! She brought us to her home which was a really lovely house as we were quite tired. We did a lot of catching up that night. So many stories to tell, so many exciting gossips to listen to. S made spaghetti for us that night. Simple but delicious.

Next day, we started our tour around Dublin with St. Stephen's Green park. The park was really lovely now. It was so green over there but the weather was still cold. Dublin is much colder than Liverpool and Manchester (according to ML).

We walked towards O'Connell after. After being stuck with 1 shopaholic in Cheshire Oaks, here I'm stuck with 2 in Dublin...haih.Should we start with this shop first? No, that one's more attractive with the 70% sales sign.
Me: Anywhere also can lah. (but nobody took notice)

They made me try on a few clothes, which I did but didn't buy.ML did end up buying a cute little dress. Luckily, that was the one and only shop we shopped at.

We came across Molly Malone statue. There's a famous song which is also the Irish anthem associated with this person:
In Dublin's fair city,
where the girls are so pretty,
I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone,
As she wheeled her wheel-barrow,
Through streets broad and narrow,
Crying, "Cockles and mussels, alive, alive, oh!"

And the song goes on. There's an urban legend that goes Molly Malone was a street hawker at day and a prostitute at night.

We visited Trinity college after:

The college was something like Cambridge, where it had a long history and beautiful campus. There's an exhibition on the Book of Kells, which was written in 800 AD and is one of the most beautiful manuscripts in the world. We didn't visit it cause we had to pay and were not very interested in it.

Next stop was for lunch in Temple Bar area. Someone said if there's no more than 2 bars on a street, it wasn't Dublin, which was quite true as bars were everywhere.

We didn't eat in the famous Temple Bar, but in the bar opposite it as they were doing a special offer. Too bored while waiting for our food:
I ordered Tagliatelle which was something like Kuey Tiow or Ho Fun but in a different type of sauce with spinach and tuna. Delicious!Followed by coffee:ML ordered Irish coffee and it was really strong. Even I couldn't drink more than a quarter of her glass.S had to leave us after lunch to rush to hospital for her teaching. So nice of her to still accompany us in the morning. We'll be meeting her for dinner.

For the afternoon, ML and I decided to visit the famous Guiness Storehouse as Guiness is produces in Dublin. On the way:

Saw this really old barber shop
There were so many bridges connecting the city which was separated by River Liffey.

Guiness storehouse was a really hot tourist attraction. It took us about 1.5 hours just to queue up and get our tickets. The queue even started outside the building before the shocking scene below appeared:
Finally, we reached the counter, bought our tickets, and off we went:
Unless you're a big fan of Guiness, I think you'll find this place boring. Basically, there were 7 storeys of this storehouse displaying the process of how Guiness was made, what ingredients were used, collection of advertisements, Guiness World Records, finally, a complimentary pint of Guiness.Artificial waterfall
How barley, hop, water and yeast were processed to make Guiness.Familiar? I remember seeing this advert when I was younger. They claimed that Guiness gave you strength. Maybe that was how the Guiness World Record came about. Top tower finally, where we got our pint of Guiness. Luckily the lady added blueberry juice into mine. I didn't like the bitter taste that much.

The taste of Guiness was more bitter than sweet at the same time. I saw a video teaching you how to taste it. First, you have to swirl it to break the bubbles on top so that you can smell the nice fragrant. I liked the smell. Then you have to take a big gulp and hold it in your mouth for a while to enjoy the sweet bitter taste. The sweet part was all right. But once I stopped drinking, only the bitter taste was left behind which I didn't like.

That was the most that I could drink that day. I officially don't like beer! It's that way to the Storehouse!

We met S after our Guiness tour. Ate at O'Neills which was a very famous bar.
I had Irish corn beef, which I was expecting it to be minced beef but it was sliced beef served with side dishes. I got 3 types of potatoe on my plate that night. Boiled, mashes, and fried. Loved the gravy. The corned beef wasn't that nice as it tasted like beef marinated with salt only and baked. S and ML ordered Irish stew which was really delicious.
The next day, ML and I went for a day tour to Wicklow which was at the country side, up into the mountains. The sceneries were breath taking. I don't have the pictures with me yet. So, I can only show the 2 pictures I have at the moment:
One unusual food which I came across at Dublin airport before flying back was this:
Fancy eating duck noodles the chopstick-free way?

Part 2 coming soon once I have the photos. Now to start worrying about my assignments and exam.

PL and BT in Liverpool part 2

Friday Night:
Yay! Love PL so much. She brought egg tarts all the way from Manchester for me! I ate like 3 that night itself. So delicious! Thanks PL. You are permitted to come any time.

We decided to go to Cheshire Oaks together with K. N and E the next day, which was my biggest mistake even after taking into account PL's reputation as a shopaholic.

Saturday:

I didn't know my back looked like that. Hunched, looking so tired, which I was.

In the long bus journey to Cheshire Oaks. Even PL slept off.

The boy symbolises PL who still wants to shop but the Mum, me is pulling her away saying that 'PL, that's enough for one day'.

Directions to fashion capitals, which made PL really excited. Shopaholics are really scary.

Had to bribe the shopaholic with Starbucks coffee so that we could go home. Or else, PL will be more than happy to spend the night there. At least she didn't spend more than 50 pounds which was a good sign.

Sunday:
Went to Sunday mass with PL cause I was just curious what they do every Sunday.

That day's mass was longer than usual with palm leaf and reading of the story of the resurrection of Jesus. It started outside the cathedral before we moved in. The choir sounded really good which was the part I enjoyed the most. The reading on resurrection of Jesus was done through singing. Interesting but I don't think I'll volunteer to follow friends to mass after this.

I brought PL and BT to Matthew street, Cavern's pub and a few other Beatles area before throwing them to the bus station and rushing off for a small meeting concerning Malaysian Night. At that time, I still couldn't believe that I was suppose to fly off to Dublin the next morning. Tiring, tiring.

Liverpool Malaysian Night 08 part 2

I just got back from Dublin yesterday. So tired! It was really tiring travelling when I haven't recovered fully from all the strain of Malaysian Night. At least it was a wonderful trip.

I'm going to write about Liverpool Malaysian Night first before starting on the Dublin trip.

The whole project has been a roller coaster for me. Initially, the hardest part was recruiting people into the key posts like director, actors, dance choreographers, etc. I know that I have dragged a lot of people into this deep deep sea with me. Every time I felt like giving up and walk away, it was this guilt of pulling people into this mess that kept me going. Sounds so sad, but that was the case.

I was worried about datelines, costumes, fans, props, workforce, too many to mention. At least the show was a success. But there's still a lot of room for improvement.

On the big day itself, I was already there in the morning, trying to help out as much as I could. I even had to go to my garden to get a bag full of leaves and a few flowers for props and part of the hair accessory for the Chinese dance. I had to bring my hair dryer to blow dry a mop dyed black to be used as moustache for the actors.....which I thought it wasn't too kind to the actors, but luckily in the end, the moustaches were drawn using eye-liners instead.

The biggest disappointment that day was that the lighting and sound system could only be set up at 3pm cause they were handled by students who still had classes. They should have really told us that when we were applying for it cause we were expecting it be be set up in the morning. It was also our fault for not expecting the worst to happen.

Things got worse, the technician only started appearing at quarter past 3 and the lights and sounds were only ready around 4pm. Haih, we were all supposed to have a final run through but it was cancelled in the end. Worst part was, we booked the wireless mikes and were prepared to pay 30 pounds each for the rent a day but they never appeared. Poor actors, have to shout their lungs out and the audiences may not even hear them properly. At least we put up microphones at the end of the stage but it wasn't effective.

The projector arrived like 6.30pm, half an hour before the doors open. I mean, this is seriously bad management. But what can we do, if we complained too much, they can just chose not to set it up for us.

I went up to the preparation room to have my dinner to find that there wasn't enough food at that time. So, went down to get more food before I could eat in peace. I wasn't feeling nervous at all which I thought must be due to too many things to worry about.

Doors opened at 7pm, in the end, about 150 people turned up for the event, which was half of what we've expected. But the show must go on!

The worse time to realise that we didn't take the rehearsals seriously was during the show itself. We didn't allocate time for the dancers who were actresses in the next scene to change their clothes. I was even helping one of them to take off pins and tying knots before my queue for the Chinese dance.
Ok, music started for the Chinese dance, but my friend hasn't started which made me nudge her a bit. Luckily, it was corrected instantly. I was really glad that the rest of the dance went well.

Came back down and rushed to change into the Indian costume cause the dance was shortly after. Took some confetti to throw on stage when we first clap our hands in the air. To my horror, 2 of my friends who were supposed to be in front of me haven't arrived on time to the other side of the stage when the dance started. Finally, I saw them and they quickly joined the dance. Phew, what a relieve. The music did start a bit too early but all was saved.
The skirt which I was wearing for the Indian dance was so heavy that I was worrying that it might fall throughout the whole dance. So scary, but at least I was wearing my black pants underneath. With the climax building up nicely till the end, we had a great ending and I thought that all my worries were over.
With a big sigh of relief, I came down the stage and changed back into my Chinese costume for the curtain call. I was about to make my way to the audience to sit and enjoy the rest of the show when one of the main actors asked if I could go get some paracetamol for him as he was feeling really dizzy. Ok, he cannot faint on us right now before the show was over. So, took off my really huge skirt, ran upstairs to get my jacket and purse and off I went to Tesco.

Asked the security guard at the door if they sold any paracetamol which he kindly brought me all the way to the shelf and off I went running back again. Ok, he's still standing, which was a good sign. Gave him 2 tablets as it says that's the maximum dose each time and hoped that he could endure till the end.

Finally, I could at least enjoy being the audience for a while. A scene before the curtain call, I went to call all the dancers to get ready. Went out 3 times for the Chinese dance, Indian dance, and secretary. Now, all my worries are over.

Which camera to look? There were just too many from so many anglesAfter returning the costumes to my committee in-charge, I brought PL and BT back. At the entrance to my house, I even showed PL the bush where I got the flowers from. PL made me take a photo with it.

I did get a shock when I looked into the mirror, the make-up was really really thick. I seriously look like a ghost. Quickly washed it off. Then started planning where to bring PL and BT for the next 2.5 days.

Thinking back, if anyone asked me if I wanted to join Malaysian Night again, I would probably say no if I were to be in the committee cause it's too stressful. If I were working full time purely on Malaysian Night, then I wouldn't mind. Studying medicine at the same time is just too taxing cause I just don't get the time.

I'll be retiring for good for next year cause I really do need to concentrate on my studies. Looking forward to the AGM now.

Liverpool Malaysian Night 08

Sometimes I wonder why did I make my life so hectic. I'm rushing off to Dublin in 2 hours time, therefore, I will only update this entry at Sarah's place if I have time and if her computer is free later on. Decided to at least put some pictures of Liverpool Malaysian Night first.

Chinese dance:

Indian dance:

The cast:

Of course I will have to smile for my own camera

The show was a success but there will always be criticisms positive or negative and rooms for improvement. Till next time.

PL and BT in Liverpool

I'm so sleepy as well at the moment. Still couldn't find the mood to blog about Liverpool Malaysian Night.

Had to wake up at 8.30am the day after Liverpool Malaysian Night 08, after sleeping at around 3am last night. So sleepy, but 'demi' PL, I set my alarm at 8.30 so that I can wake her up to go shower. Don't know why the hot water stopped for a while last night so she decided to shower in the morning instead. I waited for a while and the hot water came back but by that time, PL was already asleep.

Brought PL and BT to Cheshire Oaks shopping outlet after meeting up with the Malay Choreographer, ex-Malay Choreographer and another friend of theirs.
Sales at Cheshire Oaks wasn't too good this time around. Yet, PL was having the time of her life trying so many clothes but luckily not purchasing all that she'd tried on. BT and I were bored most of the time, especially BT. At least I managed to buy some chocolate, nuts, and dried fruits in the end.
Delicious Fish Bites and Chips from Harry Ramsden's
For lunch, I had fish and chips from Harry Ramsden's. I would say that it was quite delicious. The texture of the potato chips were quite different from the usual French Fried I ate at fast-food outlets. However, they did make me very thirsty. I ordered fish bites, which were smaller pieces of fish covered with batter and deep fried. They were really crunchy and I liked that feeling when you bite into it accompanied by the crunchy sound. Sorry, couldn't think of any other adjectives besides 'crunchy'. Harry Ramsden's was delicious overall but I wouldn't be eating at that place that often as the food was very oily and that was what makes it delicious.

Hot cappuccino on a really cold evening
We shopped until half and hour before the closing time of that place. Stopped by at Starbucks to get some coffee before heading to the bus stop to catch the bus back to Liverpool. The journey to Cheshire Oaks was much longer compared to going back to Liverpool as the bus made so many stops to pick and let passengers down.

The weather in Liverpool today turned bad from the afternoon onwards and it was rainy when we got back to town. Took the cab home and we started this conversation about final destination with the cab driver cause I somehow mentioned the catch phrase halfway through the journey when I said, 'Our final destination is Tudor Close'.

After putting our things down, BT and I went to Tesco to get some ingredients for dinner and due to PL's ingenious estimation, we overcooked and overate. So full!

Next agenda, tried to plan Birmingham Cadbury Chocolate Factory trip but was too tired and sleepy. Talked to M over the phone for almost an hour before we decided to try out my new keyboard. Played for a while and then we decided to shower and go to bed.

With PL's orchestra in the background, I'm here typing this post. Going to bed soon and getting up early tomorrow to accompany PL for mass at Metropolitan Cathedral.

Blown Away

Blowing stronger,
I hear its whistles as it rushes pass,
No! not towards the road,
Panicking as it pushed me closer to the edge.

Desperately reaching out blindly to grab something,
Praying so hard that my hands will catch anything,
As my eyes filled with horror,
Together with the light from the coming car.

All of the sudden,
the whistling stopped,
I fell backwards to the hard ground,
Shocked by the impact and pain.

The car drove past,
Not even decreasing in speed,
In that few seconds,
My whole life just flashed before my eyes.

Picking myself up,
I wondered was I glad to be alive?

Does the number of As matter?

SPM or Malaysia Certificate of Education results were released today. For those who doesn't know, it's the equivalent to O Levels.

Newspaper reported that Azali managed to score 21As in the recent SPM. News article link as follows:
http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Wednesday/Frontpage/20080312154222/Article/index_html

For the breakdown, he scored 20A1s and 1 A2. Sometimes I do wonder has the standard of SPM drop as the A1s are easily obtained nowadays.

This reminded me of the talk my parents gave to me when they were encouraging me when I was preparing for the same exam. I did ask them, what if I obtained 9 A1s and 1 A2 in my result? (I took 10 subjects at that time) Will I still be better than other students who took only 9 subjects but got all A1s?

My dad gave me this Metaphor, say you have a clean white shirt which represents 9A1s, then you compare it to another shirt which has a stain on it signifying the A2. Which one will you pick?

What they said was quite true, not getting the highest grade even in 1 of the subjects taken would have tainted my certificate. This was further illustrated by those who managed to obtained the Public Service Department's scholarship aka JPA scholarship. It was saddening to see a few of my friends who got straight A1s but has an A2 among the many subjects which they've taken failing to obtain a scholarship, whereas others which have taken less subjects, scored all A1s and obtained the scholarship. Life is unfair sometimes.

Looking at Azali with his 21As, if the same standard of grading were to apply to him, say, we put him up against someone who has scored straight A1s in 9 subjects. The person with the 9 subjects would win. But his advantage was that he took more than double almost triple the number of subjects. So, this does not apply to him, I hope.

But let us ask ourselves honestly. What was your first reaction when you read about this?

'This person is crazy. Does he have a life?'

Excuse my French but that was my reaction. I know how hard it is to study 10 subject, now the number is more than double this. Unless he has photographic memory, he must have been studying all the time besides time for taking care of himself and personal things.

I was curious as to whether he did any extra-curriculum activities like sports, music, societies, etc. But there were no mention in the newspaper. I am assuming things right now, but I think usually if the person is actively involved in extra-curriculum, they would have at least mentioned it. If I were the editor, I would have even changed the heading to:

'All rounder scores 21As in SPM'.

Does being a full time bookworm and scoring the best results in the country give you the advantage in the society?

NO.

This was what I learnt while applying to university. They ask you to write your personal statement which has to include your extra-curriculum, your hobbies, passion, voluntary work, etc. It's not all about results. That is only one aspect. There are so many others to consider.

If I had to choose someone, say to be employed into a company, or maybe just a simple committee member to a society. I would prefer to chose someone who has done a number of extra-curriculum with good results rather than someone who has scored exceptionally high but lacking in other aspects. Too heavy on one side is always a disadvantage.

Education is still the most important thing, however, it is not the ONLY important aspect in life. Heard of Bill Gates? He never completed his university education. It's the skill of looking for opportunities in life and making the most of it. This is something which I hope I will master in near future. I want to retire young and rich, go travelling and do the things which I want to do in life without having to worry about money. Sad but true, money is almost about everything in life.

How to boost sales?

Liverpool Malaysian Night, liverpool malaysian night. Seriously pening kepala.

Sometimes I wonder why did we decide to carry out this huge project in the first place. So much hassle, hard to get people who are committed, so many problems popping out here and then, hard to promote, nobody to support.

Talking about promotion, here's the biggest problem right now. I just don't understand. The promotion this year is extremely aggressive as compared to last year. Yet, sales are really poor at the moment. I felt like giving up so many times along the way. But looking at the team of people working so diligently, it will be seriously unfair to them if I had drawn out as most of them were dragged into this by me in the first place. So, pulling out wasn't an option at all.

Sometimes I do wish that I've taken Business or something along those lines. Good skills to learn and if you apply them properly, will help me in investment in future and maybe I would have done something to prevent this situation from happening now.

Price: What attracts consumers to buy your product?

Most important point is, they will have to feel that the product is worth the value that they're paying for. Even better if they think that the product is worth more than that they've paid for.

'Woah, this is good bargain. How can they earn profit by selling us this at such a low price?'

This expression will be what the seller yearns to hear the most. The indication of success.

On the seller's part. We strive hard to cut cost, yet preserving the quality of the product that we're selling. Main aim: To trick consumers into thinking that they're at an advantage by buying our product at a price which they think is much lower that the value that they're paying for.

So, a successful business person will be the one who can accomplish an equilibrium in this. This of course will only apply to cases where the product which is new or maybe have many competitors on the market.

It will be another story if the brand was already established, has good reputation, have a huge 'fan base', or holds the monopoly to the market. At this stage, price doesn't really matter.

Unusual ourcome at Malaysia GE 08

Why do I say unusual. Well, it wasn't exactly unexpected due to incidences which occurred during the last term. With corruption still at large, economic downturn, demonstrations, etc. Things were not looking good for Dato Seri Abdullah Badawi.

Voting in UK
Coming back to voting. I seriously don't know why they make it so difficult for students studying overseas to vote. In my case, it'll be in the UK.

1. You will need to be registered as a legal voter. Usually done in Malaysia but I think it can be done here as well at Malaysia High Commission. I wanted to register while I was back in the summer of 2006 but sadly, was born in Novermber therefore, I wasn't at the legal age at that time.

2. It was the hassle of travelling down all the way to London to Malaysia High Commission on the voting day. I'm not sure if they allow early voting for oversea Malaysians or not.

3. I don't even know if they've managed to prepare the voting forms in time for anyone to vote this time around or not as the election was called suddenly.

4. Even if we did filled in the form under the witness of an official at Malaysian High Com. and get it posted by super fast 'Postlaju', will it be in time for the counting, taking into account the 8 hours lag in the UK as compared to Malaysia? So, it's not that I don't want to exercise my rights but it's just too difficult.

Election Results
Coming back to the election results. It will be written down in history as BN's biggest failure. I'm so lucky that there is no more History exams for me to take. Pity the young generation, more things to learn and remember. At least they can make use of prior knowledge, like the excise of majority system at parliament if more than 2/3 of the seats are secured by the ruling government. This time around, BN just managed to secure a simple majority. I was wondering what will the impact of this be. It will only be of significance if suggestions of change towards the constitution was brought up where in this simple majority, the ruling party will have to rely on agreement from representatives from other parties before a decision can be made. If anything like this ever happens, more history facts to remember for the next generation then.

But of course, from the election results, the wind of change is quite apparent among Malaysians. Therefore, I personally hope that there will be changes for the better.

Pay Rise for Medical Officers
I was really happy when my dad told me about the increase in pay for MOs once they have successfully completed their 2 years compulsory house officer training. Yes. I know, they increased the housemanship training to 2 years. But it does come with this pay rise. Good for those planning to practice medicine in the government section in Malaysia in future.

Quoting from NewStraitsTimes Online:
This means they will be taking home RM5,944.25, including allowances, compared with their present salary of RM3,768.39 with allowances.

At least this pay rise still stays after the election. Now I'm wondering when will JPA next increase our allowance as I recommend that they follow the Health Ministry's footsteps as well.

Funny things during the Voting and Election
Surprisingly one famous Malaysian blogger, Jeff Ooi stood for election and he won. This does show how effective blogs are in conveying your views and messages to the public. We can have electronic campaigns through blogs and then paying other famous bloggers to advertise your campaign in future. Possibility of making money here if your blog is well read.

Another thing was about Malaysiakini's website closure by authorities. It was because they published a letter which criticized the privileges received by the ethnic Malays openly.

I do think that the reason why police raided their office was that they were waiting for the opportunity to do so and that they wanted to prevent the circulation of that letter. However, this incident was reported by the BBC website, which in their report, quoted the letter at least twice. Now, will BBC be raided next?

Full story at: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/2676297.stm

I did try to access Malaysiakini to have a look at the results but the whole website was down. Then, found the temporary website from my friend's personal message on MSN. I wonder how did they come to know about this. Their team were still working hard to provide all the latest updates, even when their main site was down. Today, I had a try to access their main site and it was up and running again. So much for the raid.

Now, to look forward to the new government, hoping that any changes made will be for the better.

A Beautiful Mind

Dear blog,

Again, here's a really boring post with nothing really interesting in particular.

I'm currently on the Brain and Mind rotation aka Neurology and Psychiatry. Wondering why they put the 2 extremes together. On Mondays, I have to go to Southport for Psychiatric placement. It's so far away. Takes me about 1.5 hours to get there. So, 3 hours of travelling on that day itself. When I'm lucky, there will be patients who will want to talk to you, so, I can get a decent history at that time. Other days, it's either the patients are asleep or too depressed to talk to anyone.

The experience on the Psychiatric wards have really opened my eyes. Initially, my views about mental illness was that the patient will be very dangerous, scary, maybe a psychotic killer, who needs to be tied up and locked in a room harm proof with walls which are cushioned to prevent injuries from banging against them etc. But no. The patients which I saw were mostly depressed patients who had gone through a significant mental trauma which brought about their illness. There are other types of presentation as well like drug abuse caused hallucination etc.
Hearing descriptions of hallucinations are really scary. Like seeing a guy who doesn't have eyes but only 2 black holes in the orbits which keeps on harassing you to go with him. Or, hearing voices commenting on your every move, or forcing you to kill someone every single day. I seriously cannot imagine how these patients have to cope with all these each and every day.

One famous movie based on schizophrenia is 'A Beautiful Mind'. However, after doing PBL on schizophrenia, I realised that the John Nash's presentation was not the typical presentation. He had delusion of reference where he thought that the secret agent was asking for his help and that there were secret messages encoded in news articles directed to him. Rarely, visual hallucinations are presented in schizophrenia like the main actor. He was lucky that toward the end where his wife almost left him that he realised that the 3 character which he saw were unreal. This clearly illustrates the lack of insight for patients suffering from this condition.
My conclusion from this is, watching movies has their benefit as long as you can interpret and use it wisely.

Other than that, I'm really looking forward to Liverpool Malaysian Night 08 and my trip to Dublin in Easter. Of course, I'm looking forward to PL and BT's visit to Liverpool this coming weekend. Really can't wait for the holidays. It's been really long since the ski trip.

There are 2 big bruises on both knees now as I had to kneel down really quickly for both the Chinese fan dance and Indian Banghra dance. At least the pain went away after a day of resting. What I can say now is, I do hope that the response will be good and everything will go smoothly. Can't wait to retire from the society completely as well cause the whole year of extra work is really causing a strain on me.

Lots of homework to do, continuing the search for motivation, loads of assignments piling up, exams to prepare for. So many things to do in these 3 months before I can go back to Malaysia and be pampered by my parents after 2 years! I don't know how did I survive so long without seeing them but I guess you do get used to it. I am so not looking forward to the separation in August. Haih. That's the main reason why I didn't want to go back last summer.
